Marisa Schwartz Taylor is a visual journalist and photo editor based in New York City. She frequently travels to West Africa and co-founded Loud Silence Media, a documentary production house in Accra, Ghana in 2012.
Loud Silence covers human interest stories such as illegal gold mining, abuse of the handicapped, affects of oil drilling, renewable energy, cyber scammers and much more. Loud Silence's documentary mini-series runs on HomeBase and AfroTV channels in West Africa.
Marisa is currently a photo editor at The New York Times and previously worked at TIME. She attended Parsons School of Design and graduated with a BFA in Photography, minoring in Culture and Media Studies.
